Soooo did the Xbox One X succeed?

What I do think will happen is that xbox fans will stick it out with the x longer until the next xbox releases if we go by the expectation that sony will release the ps5 first then xbox will later release the next xbox to be more powerful.

Doesn’t it even matter at this point, after Xbox one X successor, PS5 pro will be up next and so on. If MS will only rely on people who switch to the most powerful every couple years they will never have a permanent audience. 

They also relying on having the cheaper console that still runs the newer games.
