Is PS4 the first console to sell like this without a fad?

PS2: I wouldn't call having DVD support a fad. I would call it an incentive to buying a console

Gameboy: Portable Nintendo console. I don't really see what type of fad that is
PS1: Same as PS2
Wii: Yeah. Motion controls were kind of a fad.
