I'm not saying they should, in-fact I would rather argue the opposite. - Just reinforcing the fact that Microsoft can buy Sony as they have the financials to do it with relative ease. - Getting legal approval is another matter entirely of course, Japanese Government/Regulatory body might intervene there.
I would ultimately like to keep Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony around in the gaming space, competition drives innovation and lower prices which benefits the consumer, we have seen all to often what happens when a multi-billion dollar company gets cocky and neglects the consumer.
