Well given that God can't be measured or detected for some reason, (s)he can by definition have no impact on the Universe. So I guess the existence of God makes no different to anything.

I guess in my case it'd be... Shrug. Followed by: "so that's why the Universe exists, why does God exist?". In my opinion that's a far more mind-bending proposition than working out how the (basically mathematically constructed) Universe came to exist.

At least lots of nice art and music was inspired by religion.
