#22. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
This game is to this day the best Metroidvania out there (that is not a Metroid game). Blending RPG elements with side scrolling exploration. Sympony of the Night gave us two huge castles to explore as Alucard deals with his daddy issues.
The game features tons of weapons, armors and accessories to be found. The boss fight are plenty and thrilling. Your trek through Dracula's castle is accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack making discovering a new section even more rewarding.
Finally, let's not forget the great awful voiceovers that gave us gems like "What is a man?".
