#23. Super Mario 3D World
The infamous "fake" 3D Mario title. On the unpopular Wii U, had an horrible reveal, was not Mario Galaxy 3 or Mario 128, this led many to look down on this gem of a game.
The game brings the feeling of 2D Mario to the 3D realm. The game is bursting with fresh ideas, one after the other. The level design is endlessly inventive and the power ups are a mix of old and new. The cat bell being the stand out giving Mario great climbing abilities and claws to take down his enemies.
Another great feature of the game is the multiplayer mode where up to 4 players can "cooperate" to reach the end of the level (first). Each playable character has his or her own unique traits which encourages trying different characters to tackle the challenges before you.
