Why do graphics matter?

I'll stop discussing with you here (even though we barely got started) because I know your kind and nothing good will come from this.

I am not saying that at all, I am simply saying that every game out there would benefit from having better graphics, and that my friend is why when games get reviewed, graphics is a category, you can have the most awesome gameplay ever, but low quality graphics can ruin it.

Do not be confused, I am not saying great graphics are mandatory, nor am I saying they make the game, I am simply saying they can make any game better, and are a important aspect.
