Either you want your game to be on the biggest storefront on PC or you don't. Every single developer who wants it will not see some measly $1000 that have a good chance of being refunded in total as any kind of monetary or mental barrier. If they don't think their game, that they worked on thousands of hours and have put all their passion and savings into, is not worth $1000 entry fee they shouldn't even be on the biggest storefront PC has to offer. And if they do have a problem with that, there are other outlets that care about quality control and don't need a giant barrier of entry to keep out trash because they selectively choose what ends up there. And yes, I find it ridiculous that we are trying to find a solution for a problem that would be instantly solved if Valve put some actual effort into their store. |
It's called having second thoughts, viv
. Also, you can have all the faith of the world in your game, but that doesn't guarantee that it will have success.
And yes, if Valve decided to put the same effort they show in expanding the store into improving the store, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Please excuse my bad English.
