And I wouldn't be so sure about PS4 games. Next year we're gonna have GoW and TLOU2. Two games I'm very much looking forward to and definitely gonna buy. Also, what doesn't make sense about picking a small number of reviewers you trust instead of blankly believing in aggregated scores of reviewers you don't even know?

You must have some unrealistic expectations if you thought Odyssey was disappointing.

I expected nothing less than something on the level of Mario 64. The glowing reviews misled me to believe that it was so. But much like BOTW, while the core game was absolutely solid, it had to do some stupid stuff that completely turned me off in the end.

I won't indulge in here what my specific problems are with each of the disappointing games. Gonna do a separate thread about it if I can find the time.

But yeah, it is part my fault for letting reviews hype me up more, especially since I've been burned so hard just previously this year by the same developer. I try not to get too hyped up for my favorite Nintendo franchises but I can't help myself to still expect greatness.
