In Asia you buy it from steam.  Even if you bought it fr another store you will play using the steam servers so they will count in that 26.65m players. I doubt the game sold over 4m because of game sharing. I think it sold around 3m.

Have you considered the mobile version? I don't know if it's released yet though.
