Am I the only one that feels like Valve hasn't put much effort in this sale? They haven't made a good looking banner or something like those stickers of the past big sale, only that Steam award contest and the related cards for a badge.
Steam looks so dull 
In any case, I never buy anything the first day (there use to be a lot of connection issues), but I'll sure get some games in the coming days.
