Nintendo also announced on December 13 the Switch hit 10 million units sold to consumers. They didn't provide any dates on when it hit the figure (Unless I am mistaken), so that would likely mean it hit the milestone for the week ending December 9. We currently have sales around 8.5 million units. That would leave 1.5 million units sold in 4 weeks. |
Is there a chance the Switch is slightly over-tracked right now (and by extension will be slightly under-tracked in the next few weeks)? It's at 500k+ in Japan for about that period, and let's low-ball and say 750k for NA. That only leaves 250k~ for EU and Other. That or Nintendo rounded up by a few 100k, but that seems unlikely.
