"Taiwanese officials are NOT declaring Independence" therefore they maybe a country but an independent one is still of question ... 

If Taiwan really wanted to prove that it is an independent country then show it to the world and especially the PRC ... ;

They don't need they already have their own government, laws, national army, a national flag and a national anthem.
