Colour photography existed well before 1947, you know (though that wasn't the point of the OP). Also, it doesn't take more than a couple of clicks, which you honestly could do yourself, to verify that the Mustarrifate of Jerusalem was both inhabited and fairly prosperous/cultured under Ottoman rule.
