You are probably right, but at the very least Israel should do the above. If that causes war, then so be it. Israelis can then add more territory like they did in 1967. Sometimes war really is the best option, and the modern idea that borders are inviolable and territories fixed in perpetuity is absurd, and contradicted by thousands of years of continual upheaval and the rise and fall of countless empires. No one has the right to territory they cannot defend.
