http://www.pcgamer.com/star-wars-battlefront-2s-free-last-jedi-update-is-live-today/
The Last Jedi has come to Star Wars Battlefront 2 in the form of a free update that adds Finn and Captain Phasma to the lineup of hero characters, along with a new hero ship (Tallie Lintra's RZ-2 A-wing), new campaign missions, and a pair of new multiplayer maps. First things first, though: Battlefront 2 writer Mitch Dyer hit up Twitter to reassure Star Wars fans that the DLC doesn't spoil The Last Jedi film in any way—but if you want to go into it "totally blind," watch the movie first.

A $900,000 orbital cannon isn't the only thing that yesterday's Doomsday Heist update for GTA Online brought to the game, or even necessarily the most interesting. Also included is an all-new radio station, Blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM, hosted by Frank Ocean, Vegyn, Roof Access, and Fed.

Ubisoft said in July that that dedicated servers were coming to its medieval face-breaking experience For Honor, although it warned that it wouldn't be for a while. Clearly it wasn't kidding. But better late than never, and so here we are in December with word that dedicated server open testing is going to begin tomorrow.

We got our first look at Trailmakers, a sandbox construction game that looks like Besiege but with cars and planes, at PAX West earlier this year. Today, developer Flashbulb Games announced Trailmakers will hit Steam Early Access on January 31, 2018, with a free open beta weekend planned for January 11 - 14. It will cost $20 at launch, and its Steam page says the price "will be reviewed" when the Early Access period ends.
PlayerUnknown on copyright infringement: 'There's no IP protection in games'
http://www.pcgamer.com/playerunknown-on-copyright-infringement-theres-no-intellectual-property-protection-in-games/
In the wake of PUBG's ever-growing success, a number of established games have spun their own interpretations of the battle royale formula. Several clones have since surfaced too, which has caused Brendan Greene—aka PlayerUnknown himself—to speak out against the lack of copyright protection in the games industry.
Elite Dangerous' Thargoids are now attacking starports
http://www.pcgamer.com/elite-dangerous-thargoid-aliens-have-begun-attacking-starpors/
Earlier this year, Elite's Thargoids alien baddies descended on Elite: Dangerous. Before long, war was waged, and just days later one squadron destroyed one of its aggressor's ships.
Now it appears the Thargoids are taking down spaceports, which is a pretty grave statement of intent.

Samuel spoke fondly of Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus in his review, but was less taken by its The Freedom Chronicles: Episode 0. While acknowledging the latter serves to tease the base game's three-part DLC, he reckoned it'd have benefited from showing more.
Part one—The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe—is however out now.
