26. Pokémon X/Y

There will always be at least one Poke'mon game on my list. As a franchise Poke'mon is pretty much a must play. What other JRPG franchise has hundreds and hundreds of recruitable characters? What other JRPG franchise has an online VS mode? X/Y makes the list over the other ones, because this is the first time the series jumped from 2D sprites to 3D models.

Nice. Being the jump from 2D to 3D alone is a bit of a shallow reason, but nice nonetheless. Also, you took 10 hours to beat Portal? Damn.

Just realized Platina actually guessed Wind Waker for the second year running now, huh (see what happens when you don't guess, StarDoor). Anyways, moving on, let's see...

#16 - A game about an owl, a really big tree and two weird-looking creatures, both of which you play as (though one of them only for a couple of really brief moments).

The core games mostly play the same. I haven't played Sun/Moon yet, but as far as I can tell every Poke'mon game has always had the same basic setup. Go to new town, get badge, rinse repeat. Silver/Gold remakes have the best character designs, but they lack online play and the balancing that fairy types bring to the table. Also I forgot to mention that mega forms really changed the meta.
