It has a lot to do with it, because it doesn't make sense to oppose it on the basis that it kills people while supporting the killing of people.

Only if you think killing someone on the basis of convenience is equal to a state killing a rapist. I'm still at a lost how anyone would think racism and anti abortion are equal.
