You can spin it all the way you want but no. The launch still counts as their first Holiday. Just mean that it was Sony's fault to not be able to replenished their new hardware when the demand was so high.

it can count if you want, but sony in regular holidays ships 8 million units, launch holiday can not be compared to post launch holiday no console manufacturer has every had anywhere near enough to supply a  holiday lunch, they all been sold out, and never got a holiday boost.
