What exactly is there to elaborate on? Seems like pretty ironclad common sense to me.

Sony made mistakes with the PS3 both in terms of hardware and marketing, thanks in large part to arrogance attributed to two gens of not just "winning" sales wars but absolutely slaughtering the competition. Those mistakes were fixed with PS4. Not only were those mistakes fixed, they toned down their laughably arrogant, downright trollish PR from guys like Kenny K and Jack Tretton.

The end result is a PS4 designed and marketed in a far superior way. Just look at Microsoft and the Xbox One. That was Sony and the PS3.
