the switch is good enough for nintendo games, the exclusives, but i have no interests personally in 3rd party games for the switch for the most part, thats not so much nintendo's fault, its just the games that are coming out are like over 5 years old and even scaled down to allow it to even run..... yeah.... not for me. plus with the 3rd party support there are alot more commercials for the switch too.
however i dont think the switch will fail simply due to the fact its portable. and nintendo handhelds have always done well for the most part, no one really can compete, the problem is that the tech is limited being portable to be affordable. its a vicious cycle, but with good enough exclusives and continuing high sales worldwide, i think its a success in its own category.
I feel that comparing the switch to xb1 and ps4 is like comparing the 3ds to the ps3 or x360. It is in its own category and a great member to a game collection or hobby.
