So with PlayStation selling 17.2m units since January 1st this will be their highest selling year by far. The same year the Switch has launched strongly. I think I'll maintain my stance that the Switch and the PS4 are not in competition for sales.

It would be weird if it didn't, but there is no indication that it couldn't sell higher otherwise. But that's not the point, they are both sold in game stores and similarly compete when it comes to software. A gamer is typically going to buy a console and invest in that platform that year. That is literally what the guy said afterwards about their services. They are competing in software as well.
