Japan is the second best selling country for the ps4

Well I checked the numbers and it looks like Japan is second only to the US.  It beats the UK and germany.  And this is despite launching later then these regions. Funny how these same people describe ps4 sales as amazing in the UK and germany. And they wouldn't dare call the UK/German market irrelevant and unimportant to Sony. 

 

PS4 Sales by country: 

#1 US 20m 

#2 Japan 5.4m 

#3 Germany 4.7m

#4 UK 4.3m

#5 France 3.7m

 

Let this kill the myth that Japan is not important to Sony and they'd not be bothered without it. They care a lot, I guarantee you that.

1. United Kingdom - .066 or 6.6% of total populatoin

2. United States - .061 or 6.1% of total population

3. Germany - .056 or 5.6% of total population

4. France - .055 or 5.5% of total population

5. Japan - .039 or 3.9% of total population

Adjusted per capita (excluding 65+ year olds.)

1. United Kingdom - .08 or 8.0% of gaming-aged population

2. United States - .073 or 7.3% of gaming-aged population

3. Germany - .072 or 7.2% of gaming-aged population

4. France - .068 or 6.8% of gaming-aged population

5. Japan - .058 or 5.8% of gaming-aged population

 

As you can see, Japan is lagging behind those other countries when we roughly adjust for population and age-demographics.
