A more proper alignment between the two would shift the Switch over by one week, seeing as the 3DS was released in Week 8 of 2011 while the Switch came out on Week 9 this year. That means that, for their first Week 47, the Switch actually did better, 145,200 to the 3DS's 120,940. So far, so good for the Switch. Let's see if it can continue to outmatch or at least keep pace with the 3DS's first holiday season.
