Let us assume that all these things were introduced by the Xbox brand, what one can take away from this is the fact that the Xbox One has failed to bring anything new to gaming or the legacy of Xbox.

Focusing on PC would be the best thing for Microsoft at this point. It just seems like they are saving face at this point.

PS4 didn’t bring anything new to gaming as well if you talk about something revolutionary. It’s just another console which plays some games with better graphics than PS3.

Could be argued the Playstation 3 did more than the Playstation 4.

For one...
* Backwards compatibility with PS1 and PS2 discs.
* Could play audio CD's.

At-least the Xbox One does more than it's predecessor with Blu-Ray and UHD Blu-Ray support.
And it would have had Kinect mandated, if people didn't crack a tanty.

The dock is a scaler, it doesn't "improve" graphics

Er. Scaling does improve graphics. It's a form of image manipulation.

However... I highly doubt the dock has a built in scaler... The chip inside the dock seems to be a relatively simple hub for outputting HDMI, USB and performing negotiation duties with the Switch.
The Switch's Tegra chip does have a built-in scaler as part of it's feature set which is extremely capable.

Plus having a second external scaler that performs additional image manipulation... Would add to the input lag and is in general... An unnecessary cost.

Instead of making people buy games they already own, right?

XB1X embarrassment? No, no, no. Find your way to Youtube, and visit the Digital Foundry channel. Then you will understand who is being embarrassed.

Would be great if the Xbox One X would go higher than a last century 1080P resolution on my 1440P/2k/Quad-HD display though... And actually had games to showcase it's hardware. ;)
