I do remember beeing reset to the elder god spawn point if i died in the other realm on Soul reaver 1. But it still wasn't dieing. It was very difficult to do that aswell, wich is why we hardly remember. ^^

That rings a bell. So there was at least some form of punishment for getting "killed" in the first game, even if it was only inconvenience.
