It's stupid to assume that every person with the intent of buying a PS3 is aware of the upcoming bundle. Otherwise not a single PS3 would have sold last week.
It's also unfair to compare launch sales of a new SKU to a long standing SKU fo a competing platform. Sales will drop back down to current market absorption levels a few weeks after release.
