I remember my brother and I begging for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles back when I was maybe in 8th grade. We both had Gameboy Advances, but in order to play multiplayer, we needed the special GBA-GCN link cables, so for it's time, it was kind of a hassle to get started.
Although I imagine there were families who needed one or more GBAs to add to the price of admission. I can't even imagine 4 player.
