Today I picked up Bryant over Kearse because the former moved up the depth chart and faces the Packers while the latter is a Jet against the Panthers. Of course, Kearse got ~16 fantasy points against all odds, so Bryant has to deliver a lot.

Unrelated, I saw a video of Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball. That was a lot sooner than expected, but I think the injured reserve rules won't allow him to return any sooner than week 15. Right now that looks like it will be too late.

Probably - what do you think will be needed for a wild card?  10-6?  Let's say they win out with Rodgers, and beat the Browns in week 14.  Pittsburgh isn't a likely win, but you never know.  Tampa next week is a winnable game perhaps?

10-6, or even 9-7 sounds reasonable. Pretty much every NFC team in serious contention for a playoff spot is either in the midst of or about to run into the teeth of their schedule.

Philly has road games against Seahawks and Rams over the next two weeks.

Minnesota is in the middle of a four game stretch against teams with winning records. They've beaten the Rams and Lions, and go to Atlanta and Carolina the next two weeks.

Los Angeles (Rams) just played the Vikings and Saints, and after a "down" week against the Cardinals, they play Philly, Seattle, and Tennessee.

New Orleans has to rebound from todays' loss to the Rams quickly, as they have the Panthers and two games against the Falcons over the next four weeks.

Carolina closes out this season with games against the Saints, Vikings, and Falcons. Week 15 is also against the Packers...

Atlanta probably has it the worst out of all teams; they play the Vikings and Saints at home, then go to Tampa and New Orleans in back to back weeks, and then end the year with a home game against the Panthers. That's a combined opponent record of 37-18.

Seattle, meanwhile, probably has the roughest upcoming four game stretch. Home against the Eagles, away against the Jags, and then home against the Rams before a road game against the Cowboys...in what should be Ezekiel Elliott's first game back from suspension.

So yeah, the NFC is going to tear itself up over the final five weeks. Even if Green Bay loses tonight, there's still plenty of room for them to make a late push. Their next two games are vs. Tampa and at Cleveland; certainly winnable contests. If Rodgers can come back in Week 15, the Packers could easily be 7-6. Winning that Week 15 game against Carolina in this scenario would put Green Bay right back in the middle of the playoff picture as well as give them a tiebreaker against a team currently in the picture.

So not impossible, and honestly not even all that unlikely so long as we operate under the assumption that Rodgers is returning in Week 15. Of course, that's a major if. Regardless, Green Bay, do us both a favor and somehow beat Pittsburgh tonight.
