I've found the game with most original names to be Suikoden V. Some of these can sound very awkward (and be difficult to remember), but at least they break the cliché. For example:
Arshtat
Lymsleia
Gizel
Cathari
Alhazred
Nifsara
Yahr
Sharmista
Byakuren
