Americans will be able to buy marijuana in Canada – and it's possible that Amsterdam style "coffeeshops" could eventually become popular – Canada's federal government has decided to allow individual provinces to create their own rules governing public consumption.
It's left up to the individual provinces to make rules for pot tourism. However why would they say no to extra income. Ofcourse what happens when you cross the border smelling like pot is up to the US.
The U.S. embassy in Ottawa told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that "legalization of marijuana in Canada will not have any impact on marijuana's legality in the United States." It also warned Canadians to be "aware of possible actions they may face upon attempted entrance into the United States."
