Not really. It's early in the PS3's life and the console is still $400. Right now, most of the userbase would be considered "hardcore". Most casual gamers don't drop that much money on a toy. It's in the same boat as Gears of War, another game that caters to a largely hardcore crowd, which is why I think the two are an apt comparison.
