"There is no way Xenoblade will land this year"

It releases in about 2 weeks.

"Mario will get delayed"

Playing it now.

"Zelda will not be ready for Switch launch"

Was the go to game to buy at launch.

So seriously, a lot of people thought delays were coming for many Switch titles.  Based on what we have seen thus far since the Switch's launch, what in the world makes you think DLC for one of Nintendo's biggest games this year will get delayed?

I do agree that for big games like Xenoblade and Zelda, expansion pack style story DLC is a very possible path they may take.  They have been wanting to explore that option since Majora's Mask after all, seeing how it was supposed to be an expansion to OoT before it became a stand alone game.

Game release and DLC are two different scenarios for the releases we had coverage of the games and only a few people thought the would be delays and in regards to Zelda it released off the back of two prior delays so that's not a good argument to try and make.

The DLC here is not as pivotal compared to the release of the game so a delay is not as costly because the pass to buy it is an all in in bundle with other content to sell it with out the upcoming DLC, we've yet to see any coverage of the story DLC which puts the possibility of a delay on the cards.

Already been answered, but I'll emphasize it.

1. A couple weeks ago, they reiterated that the DLC will drop in December.

2. Since the Switch's launch, we have had no reason to doubt any of their release dates. Surprisingly people continue to doubt every time. Seems people constantly say "Oh Splatoon will delay till next month, or Xeno next year, or Mario next year, ect"

Most of Zelda's delay was because Wii U sucked and they wanted to make it a switch launch game. Thus it got delayed for 2 reasons. First was due to redoing the game for playing it with no gamepad interaction. The game original used the gamepad. Second, just delay the date to co-launch. If no Switch, the game would have came out a year earlier easy.
