Star wars fanbase are some of the worst out there. I mean, they created a whole subculture around it and now want to rule more than the author. For me the point when any work of media like books, tv series, games or movies turn to be mediocre is when they stop being a vision from their creators and start being fan Service and the author start to downright making choices to please the fans and dont do things theyd like to do out of fear of fan reaction.

Game of thrones séries were great until the point when they were adapting the novels and there weren't much room to fan Service. I dont want a fanservice based Ff 7...

I am not talking about making sequels that pander.  I am talking about making changes to a work that already exists.  Let Square Enix do whatever they want to FF16.  But it sounds like they want to seriously change FF7.  I personally liked it just the way it was.  I mean I would have been happy if they updated graphics and added voice acting, but everything I am hearing from Square-Enix makes this sound like a complete reboot.
