The game takes place in '44-46, so that's what I'm focusing on specifically. I haven't found any specific instances of countries hanging people who weren't of a high rank in the military. |
As I said, you should really google more, since I have no intention of posting those pics here. Nazis were hanging people quite a bit - maybe not as...productive...as shooting or gassing, but, visually, body hanging from the streetlight or from balcony is quite fear inducing...I'm guessing.
As for particular years ('44) in particular country (France), look up Tulle massacre.
Now, it is pretty much beyond ridiculous that we're discusing this topic in this context, since this is about some special snowflake taking offense with it - as I said, in Europe of all the places, where Nazis killed millions.
