Maybe they're still planning a Punch Out though, as it is indeed completely different. I'm curious if they'd still do the slightly edgy, stereotype-based humor that was so great on the Wii version, as people seem hyper-sensitive about that sort of thing these days even when everyone is getting the same treatment.

I think that'd be because of F-Zero's sales. Despite 2D Mario being their biggest selling 2D platformer by far, Kirby Yoshi n Donkey Kong still get games.

That would mean the game doesn't release until next year. I think launching it early in Switches life was definitely a good idea. I can't really fault them for using this strategy when it worked so well for Splatoon, though Splatoon updates weekly while ARMS is every few months which is too infrequent.
