I do not think the shortage of Play Station Four Pro had any real effect overall after few weeks (I'm not talking about a year after). Come on, why is it so hard to admit that for the Play Station Four Pro (out of the 3 with Xbox One X and Switch), the demand was lower... I mean while some shortage may have occurred the Play Station Four Pro was available everywhere and if someone wanted one 2 or 3 weeks after launch; you could find one... Or I'm living on another planet and all the stores (including amazon, Walmart, etc..) here are just different :). For the Switch it is a completely different story but as I said before comparing what happen with those 2 makes no sense and it was just 2 different leagues.

It does not say the Play Station Four Pro is bad but that's not the same level at all... And based on the current numbers the Xbox One X demand is higher and is just selling more by a good margin (even % wise compare to the base system) than the Play Station Four Pro... Of course this is the first week, of course it is only UK numbers, of course Microsoft made sure made sure no shortage will happen, but things are just looking different than the Play Station Four Pro. You do not need to have any bias for that (or like this dude said, want to re-write history with your own narrative)

I highly doubt this was the case.  No need to get your Xbox ego stroked over it.

Well, you can add any emoji you want to make you sound neutral here; we both know where is your ego or bias is in general esp. when you post in Xbox related threads :)

And my "Xbox ego" has nothing to do with this, 66% of the Xbox One sold in the UK are Xbox One X... Numbers are just what matter or not?... Now, based your realistic bias, this big "shortage" of the Play Station Four Pro is the only reason 66% of the Play Station Four Pro sales first week in the UK were not Play Station Four Pro... I guess my "Xbox ego" is making that up...

I know this website has a majority of Play Station and Nintendo enthusiasts (so expecting to win any argument is close to 0, not sure why I'm even wasting time here :)) but the need to always try to downplay the Xboxes in the any Xbox threads is really become an obsession for some of you.

Here you go, so you can have a better day: the Play Station Four Pro and the Switch had the same issues (I means same level, really, fine), and the Play Station Four Pro would have sold WAY more without this legendary shortage you are talking about. And the Xbox One X debuts are not that good, really bad actually, I mean there is no shortage anywhere, shows how bad it is right? Esp. when you compare it to the almighty Play Station Four Pro who is comparable to the Switch in term of demand. There you go, feel free to quote me if you want to add up to your future non-related Xbox One X debut in the UK post in this thread in the future and downplay it even more.
