...nah, I really think that way. It's just such a boring game. The pace of everything is so absurdly low and every option is such an extreme commitment it makes it so in the end the game is not much more than a glorified rock-paper-scissors, or at least that's how it felt to me. Then again, I was never a fan of it from the moment it was announced, so whatever. Smash is coming anyway.

However, the pace is certainly not slow in my experience when I got to where I was fighting players who knew what they were doing.  Or at end game.  Imo, it requires you to put more careful thought in your actions though because a few mistakes can cost you a match.  But it's better than many fighting games in this regard because the punishment comes *per* mistake, not one mistake=juggled for an eternity until you are KO'd or whatever.  You have greater chance of recovery. 

But it's not for everyone.  Neither is Street Fighter.  Neither is Smash.
