I don't know how exactly these things work in Xeno 2, but are these blades even characters in the game with a story line? If not it would make sense that the outfits are a way to try and throw some differentiation between them and why they go overboard with it.

Yes, Pyrrha is a major part of the storyline, with developed character, and frequent interactions. It's almost comical how much the design clashes with any of that.
