Starting Monday, Gamestop starts their rental service where you pay $60 in advance and can rent 1 game at a time for 6 months. At the end of the 6 months, the last game you rent you can keep.
From a consumer stand-point this sounds like an amazing deal. From a business standpoint, I have no idea what is going through their mind. So instead of buying each game I'm going to rent a bunch of Switch games, play them, beat them, and return them. My last game I rent will be $55 used game that I will beat and resell to them... So how they are making a huge profit I have no idea. Maybe they are hoping for lost and unreturnable copies due to damage?? I don't understand their business motive here.
It is called POWER PASS
