Arguably, we can say we got to a point where we don't need a new phone 5 years ago. I mean everything that a phone does today a phone could do it just fine 5 years ago. But we still see new phones every year.
Yes, at some point, maybe 2 gens from now, we will get to a point where a new console isn't needed on the hardware side of things and console updates will be for things of far less importance than new generational leaping APUs. Maybe at that point we will just switch to streaming.
Things change I guess.
