Any reason like price, GPU not needing that much or some your general knowledge of where they are heading for next gen?

Price, mainly. If G6 is in either next gen console, there's just no way they're going to nearly triple the Titan Xp's 12GB frame-buffer. Even using G5X, I don't see it. Like I said. 16GB at most. This way they double the PS4's baseline and clear the Xbox One X's by 4 additional GBs, all while targeting a $399 launch price.

Oww my bad I was thinking about only the memory amount not the GDDR6 in this case, I though he was talking about GDDR5 or GDDR5X.

So being GDDR5 or X, 32GB would be to much on price or unecessary?

Be nice if Sony uses a similar RAM setup as the Pro. Have 16GB of GDDR5X/GDDR6 for games and 4GB of DDR4 for general system functions.

I wouldn't mind they leaving cheap and slow ram for those pesky big ram usage of UI... I would preffer my PS4 barebones with the 8GB of RAM being at least 7GB for games
