Price, mainly. If G6 is in either next gen console, there's just no way they're going to nearly triple the Titan Xp's 12GB frame-buffer. Even using G5X, I don't see it. Like I said. 16GB at most. This way they double the PS4's baseline and clear the Xbox One X's by 4 additional GBs, all while targeting a $399 launch price.

Be nice if Sony uses a similar RAM setup as the Pro. Have 16GB of GDDR5X/GDDR6 for games and 4GB of DDR4 for general system functions.
