So what it doesn't sell well or even at all for the next 8 days or so. And lose all of say 100k sales (thats being really generous) then in 2-3 days it sells 700k consoles. Selling more in that time frame that it has in as much as 3 months combined on most months of the year. 

Thats the power of holiday sales.

But you lose 100k sales of console at 300 dollars to gain 200k at selling at 200 dollars with no profit(obviously Im assuming next to no profit).Just saying that Sony should have announced this 1 week before black friday, so that you profit over that slice of the market that dont follow the gaming industry that much and dont know when there is usually sales and stuff.

In the long run it wont matter much, since the PS4 will sell great either way.

 

This sale is for a whole week starting Nov. 19 and going through cyber Monday.  Means Sony has tons of these to sell.  PS4 will be number one on Amazon by the end of the month.
