If you look at the cards so far released with GDDR5X they are all build up from 1GB modules, I havn't seen any bigger. So going by what we have seen that seems to be what they are producing, so ift he PS5 would use that type of memory expect to see a simulair buildup of bus, speeds and memory modules as the high end graphic cards of today.

But memory type and stuff doesn't say everything, even tough the Xbox one X uses GDDR5 and not GDDR5X it still manages to hit the same effective speed as the 1080GTX, that is the most cost effecient sollution to go for the slower type of memory with a high memory bus (more modules)

But on 3 years the GDDR5X and/or bigger than 1GB modules may be a better choice for speed or cost right? But sure we need to evaluate based on the present and what that can say about the future. But 16 to 32 modules would use a lot of space wouldn't it?

Since the Xbox One X has 12x1 GB modules I don't see why the ps4 having 16x1GB modules would use a lot of space, its actually quite a tiny thing on the motherboard, you could fit a ton more if you really wanted.

We should let the people get back on topic on GDDR6 because we have gone a long way from the main topic
