Yeah. Never really was a fan of it for gaming.
But I did like telling it to do things like "Xbox go to Netflix" without having to pickup and turn on the controller or "Xbox Record That" whilst I was busy gaming.
They do have an IR Blaster on the front, so I am on the fence on whether I buy a Kinect adapter or a media remote.

I basically did the same thing to my little brother, he missed the window of picking his up yesterday... I swear I could hear him cursing me from the otherside of this continent. Haha

There is also the transfer/backup feature if you wanted to transfer everything to an external HDD.
