I can confidently say... The Xbox One X doesn't have 1440P support right now. Tried it on two different 1440P displays, different HDMI cables (Including the one that came with the console.) and took the splitter out of the equation. (Which I shouldn't have to anyway as it handles 1440P 60fps from my PC just fine.) No go. Digging into the issue and doing some research... Apparently it's coming in the future, just like a bulk of the enhanced games (There is only a handful right now), rather than on release. Which sucks. https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/11/2/16597100/xbox-one-x-1440p-support-confirmed So I am stuck using peasant 1080P. At-least I can use 10-bit colour though.
Apparantly the user interface is also stuck at 1080P regardless of your resolution, which also sucks. The bright side is... The Xbox One's UI uses allot of sharp and clean lines, so it doesn't upscale badly, but it would have been nicer if it would have been at native res.

UI was initially supposed to be at 4K, but they decided to make it 1080p to free up a bit more ram (8gb --> 9gb) for the developers to use, which is a great move imo.
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
