Now, here's an album that may be hard for many to get into! It is one of the quintessential lo-fi black metal albums. This was the third and final album of Ulver's "Black Metal Trilogie" - Bergtatt was mainly a mix of black metal and folk, while Kveldssanger was purely folk. This album decided to go the pure black metal route!! For some reason the last time I listened to it, it clicked much more than the previous times I did!! Maybe because I was listening to it with headphones, as opposed to the speakers of prior times. If you can stomach the audio quality, you'll find a real gem here!!
