In 2016 I was called a sexist with "internalized misogyny" dozens of times online and in person due to this issue. It became very difficult to discuss feminism or female politicians in this climate and was quite depressing. I could point to Warren or Gabbard, but it didn't matter to many if I had issues with Clinton.
