Sony might be able to close the gap gradually but I think the continued growth among the Chinese TV manufacturers (TCL, Hisense, Skyworth, Haier, etc.) will make it difficult even for Samsung and LG to see future growth. Just like the Chinese phone manufacturers (Huawei, TCL, Xiaomi, ZTE, OnePlus, etc.) are grabbing matket share. Huawei now sells more phones worldwide than Apple.

Agreed. Tone-deaf is probably the best word to describe John Kodera. I understand he's a business man hired to find ways for SIE to grow but he seems really anti-consumer. That he was chosen to replace Andrew House is beyond my comprehension.
